Learn simple strategies to shift your brain out of stress and feel more connected to your mind and your body. Open to all levels of yoga from “I don’t do yoga” to “I’ve been practicing for years.”
What are we going to do? Throughout the session, I’ll lead our group through a brief yoga flow, restorative poses and guided meditation. We’ll also take time to interact and respond to specifically chosen journal prompts that create more connection and intention for how you want to show up in your daily life.
Why are we doing this? There are only 15 weeks left in 2021 and I’d love to help you find strategies that help you stress less so you can end this year with more connection, gratitude and support and be ready for whatever 2022 brings!
What should I bring/wear? A yoga mat*, comfortable clothes to move in, water or your preferred drink, a journal or notebook and an open mind. *I have a few yoga mats if you need to borrow one.
What if I don’t meditate or do yoga? Like ever? No problem! Even as a yoga teacher, my own meditation practice changes every day. This isn’t just about sitting quietly, it’s about connecting to yourself. And I’m one of the least flexible yoga teachers you’ll ever meet. We’ll focus on how our body feels vs. what it can (or can’t) do.
What about COVID? Full disclosure, I’m fully vaccinated and still have hesitancy about in person gatherings but feel comfortable enough to offer this session. There is a 10 person capacity limit and I will provide a sanitized space using a Germ Guardian Air Purifier. Masks are optional for vaccinated friends and strongly encouraged for non-vaccinated friends. Please let me know if you’re interested in a virtual option for this workshop!
